  1. I ABSOLUTLY LOVE Mary Janes Farm Magazine! I have every issue, I do share them with friends but get them back and always refer to them. I am a huge fan and tell everyone I know about your magazine. The latest copy is alway in my tote so that every spare minute I get, I can pull it out. I have had people ask me in the doctors office (where i am frequently), “What magazine is that?”, and then I share it with them. I had out the subscribtion cards. I keep a copy in my best friends farm store, Dreamcatchers Alpacas / The Alpaca Shop in Oxford, Mi so that customers can take a look at it.

  2. Jeana Breen says:

Just wanted to say Love, Love your magazine!

  3. Lizanne Perchoux says:

I first saw your magazine at a friends house and recently started raising chickens and having an herb garden. I have loved it every since! Ideas on making my house a home that makes me want to stay home! Would enjoy receiving the magazine for free of course but always worth paying for it too! Thank you for sharing and being an inspirations to us!

  4. I absolutely LOVE your magazine. I buy mine from a variety store down the street from where I live in cold Canada. It warms my very being just thinking about when the next issue will be out. I try the recipes, read every story, even peruse the advertisements. From cover to end your magazine is chock full of great articles, pictures and ideas. I grew up in the big city of Toronto, Ontario. My family moved to a small town in the country when I was 13. I thought I would be surrounded by boring people and have nothing to do, (being a teenager and all…) but I ended up loving the small town, spending time on the beach, swimming in the lake, riding my bike everywhere, going hiking on trails and visiting the general store that had all sorts of great nick knacks and favourite finds. As I got older I learned to sew and bake and craft. By the time I had kids, I had made a few crib quilts and aprons. Your magazine inspired me and took me away from the doldrum of changing bums, washing dishes and doing laundry (though I wouldn’t change being a mom for the world). I look forward to it so much, it is my treat to kick up my feet at the end of a long day, with a cup of tea and enjoy the artistic photos and articles that make up your wonderful magazine! Thank you Mary Jane!

  5. lynn cross says:

LOVE your magazine (I got to be a honest-to-goodness farmgirl for a few years as a teenager and your magazine brings back memories of everything I loved about that life!)…buy it every time I find it at a newstand…would be mah-vel-ous to have it coming straight to my home!!

  6. Paula Laramie says:

I have been reading your magazine since its inception. You have never wavered in the mission to show others that there is a better way to grow food, decorate our homes, and take care of our Mother Earth. I enjoy that the magazine has provided me with many years of inspiration to be a better citizen of our planet. Keep up the good work! I love everything about your magazine and your books too.

  7. Heidi Odenthal says:

I had never heard of Mary Jane’s Farm until my recent interest in Glamping! I shared an awesome camping photo on Facebook and a friend commented with, ” Mary Janes Farm recently had a delightful article about Glamping”. Of course I searched for your website & really enjoyed it. I grew up in the country, transplanted to the city & now I’m back in the country-sort of. Thanks for the opportunity to win a subscription!!

  8. Mary Nemarich says:

I am new to your site, and found you through facebook. I live in Tasmania, Australia. We have a small farm, and I try and grow all our own fruit and vegetables. Living closely with mother earth has become really important to me, as with being healthy and making conscious choices. Thankyou for your inspiration

  9. Beverley says:

I was a subscriber but right now just can’t afford any extras ,but when I did get it I loved the magazine and all the wonderful articles…. Hope I win!!!

  10. Mary Elaine Henderson says:

Missed it last time. I need to go to whole foods to pick up a copy that tart looks good.

  11. Bunny says:

This is the ONLY magazine I get any more… love it!!

  12. Beth O. says:

I’m not a subscriber (yet). I picked up a copy at the grocery store last week because it looked interesting. I fell in love. I was raised a true farmgirl but have been living the suburban Mom lifestyle for quite a few years. I have a compost pile, am finally getting a vegetable garden again this year and I know how to can and preserve my own food. I’m also a big sewer, everything from quilts to clothing and home dec projects as well as knitting and crochet. Name a fiber art and I’ve done it. I was so enamored with this magazine that I immediately went to the website and looked up local chapters. I’ve sent an email to the organizer and hope to get involved this year.

  13. Zoe Siperly says:

Love your magazine, have all my issues saved and bought back issues for years I was missing. I’d love to win a free year and wouldn’t be disappointed to geta lifetime one. Of course I’d have to come out there to thank you!! You & Megs are the best!! Blessings…

  14. Darla Armstrpmg says:

I love Mary Jane’s farm because it proves that even though I am a pistol pack’in, rod carry’in, cross stitch’in, rural live’in, garden dig’in, horseback ride’in, camper tote’in,child chase’in, chicken raise’in, apron stitch’in, kitchen’in pitch’in, quake’in and bake’in, cattle chase’in, tree plant’in, house clean’in, pe teach’in kind of girl, and there are a whole lot more than I thought there was talk and care and share!

  15. Lucie Wisehart says:

This is a very visually appealing magazine. You can enjoy the articles, just look at pictures, but always be inspired.

  16. Cindy says:

Been a subscriber for several years and have saved every issue which I reread many times. Love to save my newest copy for my 7 hour train rides to see my grandson. I read everything, even every ad! Love the stories, pictures, and articles, recipes, everything….

  17. Jan Loges says:

Had this magazine awhile back I really enjoyed all the ideals. We live on a small farm really enjoy the country life!

  18. Deborah says:

Oh to win such a gift would be awesome! I can get lost in the photos you share. They speak, telling their secrets only to those who stop and linger long enough to hear. Makes me sad for all the older issues I’ve missed.

  19. Patty says:

I had to drop my subscription because my husband and I ARE starting a farm, right now, I have my sprouted tomatoes and cabbages on my windowsill to prove it! So while I remain a Farmgirl sister, I had to stop the subscription.

Anyway, I love it because every time it came I’d get to sit down and really immerse myself in the possibilities. The greatest gift MJF and the magazine has ever given me is understanding that no, I’m not crazy to want to do this, yes, it’s ok if it scares me to death and yes, it truly IS possible. Ridiculously possible.

Thanks for everything, whether I win or not, this is one thankful Farmgirl.

  20. Ellen K says:

I gotta have it. Of all the things I need in my life – it’s peace and quiet, some chickens and a garden. And this magazine.

  21. clothespin says:

I first found your magazine at a quilt store a few months ago. You had chickens on your cover and I was (finally) getting my chickens! They were/are a birthday gift from my husband, including the coop. I’m a born and raised country farm girl but this is the first time of chickens as an adult. I always felt out of place in the counry with my environmental and moderate views… never knew what was “wrong” with me when I was a kid. Now I know! I’m just me – and apparently very much like the rest of the ladies here. Thanks for a magazine that just makes more sense…

  22. Marylyn Roark says:

Love being a Farmgirl!!! Love the magazine..so many ideas! Love Glamping!!! Good luck, everyone!

  23. cyndi Kinder says:

Your magazine looks so neat, I can’t wait to read an issue!!! I noticed on one of your magazine covers an article that interests me about opening a fruit/veggie stand. I so want to do that this summer, I have already bought 100 plus tomatoe plants and a bunch of seeds. Another article I noticed has to do with camping and glamping. I just love all of that. You are on my facebook too!! LOVE YOUR MAGAZINE!!

  24. Debra Amos says:

Woo hoo!!! I hope I win!!!!

  25. Melodie says:

Love the magazine! Thanks for the chance to win!

  26. Tanna Wallace says:

I love your magazine!! I have subscribed for the last couple of years…and I have all the back issues except for the first one :(. I LOVE it! Thank u so much for it…I feel so encouraged every time I read it…It helps me to know I’m not alone!!

  27. Debbie Winsloe says:

Discovered Mary Jane several years ago before her magazine was a consistent publication. I was always checking the mag rack for the next issue. Was very happy when it became a bi-monthly event. Something to look forward to, regularly.

  28. Lori Jennen says:

A new reader not sure how I stumbled upon you, but LoVe it! Everything is sooooo comforting and coZy!

  29. melinda says:

I like Maryjane’s Farm because it has a little of everything- cooking, crafting, environmental and social awareness but it dares to be different from the mainstream because it has a real and genuine quality that can be seen and felt in the articles, personal stories and the photos. To me, this is rare and wonderful.

  30. Tiffany C. says:

I have one of Mary Janes books and love it! I’m an avid gardener and wannabe glamper! I love doing thinks the old fashioned way and want to teach my two babies to do the same! I know I will love the magazine too!

  31. Patricia Tanner says:

I picked up Mary Jane’s Farm magazine at Wal-Mart. JUST turned 55 and looking forward toward the next 55 years or so! This looks like fun; thank you for the opportunity.

  32. Elizabeth Howser says:

Have been a reader for five years. Apparently I was a glamper, or tried to be before it was a word. This magazine appeals to the creative side of me that nothing else does. Thank you Mary Jane for your forward thinking!

  33. Violet Martin says:

I get MJF at my local TSC.
When I found my first issue I was surprised
to see a magazine that was for a woman like me!
I’ve lived with my inner farm girl having no place
to live except alone in my fantasies.
What a joy to realize that there are lots of us here!
And we can express that farm girl no matter where
we live. I just wish I’d found you oh….30 years ago!
Even so…..really glad you are here for me NOW!

  34. Anna-Marie Sibon says:

I love MaryJanesFarm!! Winning a year to add to my subscription would be fantastic!! Of course winning a lifetime subscription would be out of this world!!! Mary Jane lives the life I would love to live. But I do live in a rural-ish area and do as much “old fashioned” living as I can. Plant, make, bake, sew, can, cook…. I do what I can and enjoy it all. The city just ruled that people can have chickens in their yards and that’s my next project 🙂 I keep hoping for goats, but I know that’s not gonna happen. I live on an island, Whidbey Island, WA, that has the first National Historical Reserve, that was began creation 1970’s, called Ebey’s Landing National Historical Reserve. So there is a lot of real rual area, maybe I can swing a move some day to the Reserve 🙂
Keep up the great work Mary Jane, you are a true inspiration!!!

  35. Elaine C says:

I decided to try the magazine a couple of years ago – it looked interesting to me. I LOVE it and look forward to each issue. I am a girl from the burbs that had family on the farms and those visits to relatives were the most relaxing times of my life. Mary Jane’s Farm brings back those times and the things that I have grown up with and love. Thank you so much for such a heartwarming read each month.

  36. Diann says:

I enjoy Mary Jane Magazine. Moving rural a few years ago it has really been a source of inspiration for me. I enjoy the simpler things in life and this magazine is a constant reminder to take life slowly and simply.

  37. Patty Brown says:

Would love to win! I have enjoyed your magazine tremendously!

  38. Tammy Beaver says:

I love your magazine and books! I grew up on a farm and am working toward getting back to the country. Until then, your magazine provides my heart everything it needs to feed my Farm Chick dreams. Glamping Rocks!

  39. Karen says:

I discovered MaryJane store on a business trip out west. I love the simple but elegant style and DIY philosophy.

  40. Chezby Wilhoit says:

I have never seen this magazine where we live but would like to read it. Looks like a lot
Of things are in it that we are interested in. We have just bought a small farm & husband does flea mots so I think this look like a very interesting magazine. Wish I knew where they sell them.

  41. m. lewis says:

I love MaryJanes Farm! It has the perfect mix of old and new. Each issue inspires me uniquely. I find myself cooking a new receipe, doing a craft project or re-decorating a spot in my home. Most important, however, is the information about GMO’s, gardening, government laws and products that are used in people’s everyday lives. Thank you for your wonderful team of caring hardworking individuals.

  42. Elizabeth says:

Maryjane’s Farm is a wonderful escape! It fills me with beauty, knowledge, and peace! The glossy pages, beautiful artwork, and stories inspire me to live better. When I’ve had a rough day at the office, the mere thought of sitting at home and relaxing with MJF is my “om” moment. I even keep it in the car for break time and lunchtime escapes! Thanks! Would love to win a subscription as I can’t always find it locally:)

  43. Gail Boo says:

MaryJane, Count me in, another year of fun, humor, and good old COUNTRY CHARM!!!

  44. Courtney says:

I look forward to reading your magazine! Looks awesome!

  45. Linda Lou M says:

My life for many years was fast and chaotic, and passing by so quickly! I was so worried about what I had, and didn’t have. Finances changed for me, and not in my favor. I really had time to reflect on what was important, and I did not like what I was becoming. Yikes! I started having grandchildren, and I began remembering what it was like growing up on Nana and Pop’s ranch and taking roads trips in their Shasta trailer ( with wings!). Those are my best memories! I discovered your magazine at work and fell in love with it! What an inspiration! Unfortunately, last year I lost my house, and it was dreadful looking for a place to move to. Everyone kept telling me to get a condo, so I don’t have to worry about a yard. Absolutely not! I found a farmhouse ( 2 blocks away) with a good sized yard but not overwhelming! I am in the old town area but, I feel like I am on 100 acres! My ” therapy” is working in the yard and cooking! I am keeping up my Nana and pop’s tradition ,and I bought a 1967 Shasta with wings! Of course, I have your “Glamping” book! “Lucille” is parked right out my back door and it is a great place for a slumber party with my grand daughters! I am taking my grand daughters on a trip next week, and hopefully make wonderful memories for them! Thank you for your inspirations!

  46. Tiffany B says:

What a fantastic opportunity!! Thank you so much! Good luck to all! :0)

  47. Marjie says:

Love you books and magazines. Not a subscriber but would love to win one.

  48. Terry Steinmetz says:

Where to start? MJF magazine gives me the chance to connect with others who like the things I do. From farming to crafting, to baking, and everything else, I can find the answers I’m looking for from women who really know. I started out with a free issue & was hooked! I ordered all the back issues, all of MaryJane’s books & devoured reading them as fast as I could. I use so-o-o many of the ideas every day. Thanks so much for all the encouragement I’ve received from all your hard work. Keepup the G-R-E-A-T work!!!

  49. Christina Rogers says:

I have never seen this magazine in our area, or I am sure I would be a regular reader! I would love to win this for me and my girls!

  50. Gaylene Ortega says:

Love Mary Jane Magazine and glamping! Would love a subscription!
