I love this magazine. I have been a subscriber for two years now and enjoy thoroughly every issue. In an age where most of what you read is depressing and negative and almost anti-family, this magazine takes us back to our roots; where home-making and good basic sense reign supreme. A magazine that celebrates the positive in life and simple living. I am such a homebody and love that there is a magazine that celebrates home, good nutrition with farm fresh food, creativity and the spirit of women everywhere. Thanks Mary Jane and company for making me feel like I’ve come home.

  5. Jess S. says:

Mary Jane’s Farm represents the lifestyle that I wish to lead. My mother always asks that I share my copies of the magazine so each issue is a treat for both of us.

I love to read your magazine! I first read your magazine while sitting under a dryer at my hairdresser. I’ve been hooked since! There is so much information! My husband and I believe it is important to teach our children the basic farm life skills and to never forget our roots, and your magazine seems to also promote this way of life:) Thanks!

  22. Love, love, love your magazine! First discovered it while sitting under the dryer at Tracy Vail’s beauty shop in Broadus, Montana. It set me to dreaming something fierce.
Led me to clearing my Sweetheart’s tools out our old “59 Shasta Trailer and get it Glamp ready. We moved out to the sticks late last summer, slept in the Shasta for a couple of months while clearing out our loghouse making it ready for habitation. The dreams just keep coming true. Got a couple of chicken palaces with cluckers, bum calf in the barn, horses in the pasture, seeds starting in the kitchen and meeting lots of great Sisters. and loving the country lifestyle. Mary Janes Farm just keeps on inspiring!

  23. Louise Warren says:

I have recently discovered MaryJane’s Farm magazine and have been enjoying it very much! A subscription would be wonderful!!

  24. Kathleen Jane Anderson says:

I like your magazine because it has down home sophistication for the thinking and looking forward country girl. Your magazine shows spunk, style and has good articles.
The photos set it apart from any other publication and best of all your magazine honors and encourages women who love the country lifestyle. I live on an acre one mile from the city with some little hens, geese, assortment of other critters and like keepin’ my hands in the dirt. Thanks for always being a good read!

  25. Terri Williamson says:

Saw it on Facebook, and thought I’d check it out. It looks like fun.

  26. Pam says:

I just found your magazine and can’t wait to read it over and over. YAY… all the things I lovemall in one place

  27. AlyssaMarie says:

I started reading MaryJanes Farm for inspiration while stuck in a tiny apartment with my family while we waited for our new house to be finished on our property. My husband and I have no background in farming but in the last 5 years we’ve taken a 12 acre hay field and turned it into our little piece of farming heaven. MaryJanes Farm has served not just as inspiration since then, but now as a practical guide for farm projects, assisted my family with changing our eating habits, and keeping us tuned in to interesting news items related to our lifestyle. My subscription to this magazine is on my wishlist year after year! I love it!

  28. Jessica says:

We used to get this magazine from the Weaverville Library Magazine bin. Some super special lady would share with the rest of the community. I would read them, then pass them along to my friend, that way we could all enjoy the articles and info, and I always had a friend to try new things out with. We moved away in January. Away from my chickens, away from my fruit orchard, away from my friend who would can and quilt with me. I would love to get the Mary Jane Farm magazine and find a new friend to do all the fun stuff with me.

  29. Anda says:

Thanks to Spiceberry Cottage for bringing your magazine to light for me! I live in a suburb of Toronto, Canada and was brought up my early years on a small farm up north which my mom still owns. I have wonderful memories of growing up there and hope to settle down there in my upcoming retirement years. Simple living is all I need! I am definately going to look into your magazine! awolk at rogers dot com

  30. Terri says:

My sister reads the magazine. I saw it and asked her if I could read it. I loved it. I went online and looked up the website. I have joined the Farm Girl Sisterhood and am very excited to start working on badges. I look forward to reading the magazines after my sister finishes with them. I would love to have a subscription of my own. I am also looking forward to getting the books.

  31. Diane Cain says:

I heard about you through my news feed on my fb page… sounded interesting so here I am.

  32. I love your magazine. My Nova Scotia sister introduced the world of MaryJane Butters to me, and I was hooked from the first newsstand issue I bought. I especially love the crafts / home decor ideas and the stories about creative women and their businesses. Your magazine also started the Glamping craze in my household!

  33. Lisa Sommers says:

I purchase mine at a book store when i see one and would adore a subscription. I love it because it is a magazine that my husband and I both enjoy, there is alot od old school information in it that we both use. I love the images and the lay out of the magazine. I love the feel of it!! I adore the aprons and inspiration!
    Lisa

  34. Kate says:

I bought one of Mary Janes books and found the website from there.

I’ve always been interested in crafts but now want to expand my self sufficiency into gardening etc.

I haven’t bought or subscribed to the magazine yet but find the blog entries from various farm girls interesting and inspiring.

I’ve always loved open spaces and the self sufficiency aspect of farming life , one day I will own that small farm, so I can grow my own food and keep animals so I can keep chickens and sheep alpacas and other animals that produce wool so I can make my own yarn.

  35. Patti Bodenhamer says:

    I love you magazine.

  36. Shawn Newswanger says:

I first love your magazine because it is Pacific Northwest instead of some faraway place. Second, I love your magazine because the articles are about ways to make our world a better place in so many ways. I also love your magazine because it is fun! My 8 year old daughter loves the pictures especially the one of Mary Jane’s grand girls. Keep up the good articles and telling it like it is! Thanks,Shawn

  39. Roberta Goss says:

I purchase every issue. I had chickens for quite awhile and one day several years ago I saw an issue of your magazine and purchased it. I was hooked – I love the recipes, the gardening tips, the craft articles, etc. I read each and every issue cover to cover.

  40. Jennah Morlock says:

I’ve just been reading the April/May Issue (that I’ve stolen from my sister..shhh, lol) and its awesome! I would so love to get a sub to this wonderful magazine! I’m really getting into more natural, home-made, good-for-ya stuff and Mary Janes Farm seems like a perfect blend of all that!

My grandma, my mom, and I love MaryJanesFarm magazine!

  42. Marsha Towner says:

I love Mary Jane’s Farm! It is very educational. I have learned about GMO’s and healthy eating/living since subscribing. I never thought too much about it before. I assumed that if you bought it in a grocery store, it was safe. I read the entire magazine from cover to cover and several articles have been read more than once. Thank you for being informative, fun, and beautiful!

  43. Shawn Newswanger says:

I love this magazine first because it is Pacific Northwest and not some far away place. I love it because it shows so many ways we can make the world a better place by example and then helps us do it. I love it simply because it is fun! My 8 year old daughter love it too, especially when Mary Jane’s grand girls feature in it. It’s been a couple of years since l read my first one about Tasha Tudor. I’ve been a subscriber since. I would love to share this magazine with others.

  44. Kristy Barker says:

A friend was talking about her Mary Janes Farm magazine. She said it was the only magazine that she reads from cover to cover. So, I had to go and buy one for myself. Love it!

  45. kim hiney says:

please, please pick me! i love your magazine so does my daughter.

  46. Dawn Snider says:

I love the uniqueness of your magazine. I’m not able to get every issue but when I do I learn something new. 🙂

  47. Sarah Harding says:

I read an article about MaryJane on a Horizon flight years ago. It’s still tucked away in a folder in my desk. I admire her so. I am a beginning farmer in Northwest Montana on a very small farm. I just finished taking a multi-functional farming class at our local community college. MaryJane is queen of multi-function farming. We grow vegetables and starts, perennial flower starts and cut flowers, and sell duck eggs. I am getting involved in a new care farming program in our valley. Bringing people with Alzheimer’s, people with mental illnesses, and people with intellectual challenges to farms to work with the farmers in order to gain strength, skills, confidence, and to connect with the soil. I have never read the magazine, but I’d like to! I like aprons! I like crocheting! I love farming!

  48. Diana Lane says:

Well, I love the magazine for it’s “back-to-the-earth roots” good info on gardening, city gardens, crafts and the basics! Been buying it for years.

  49. Karen Foss says:

I can’t tell you how happy I would be to win a subscription! Have always loved your magazine. I am following a very restrictive diet because of a cancer diagnosis, and appreciate all the organic ideas, and resources. Love all the creative ideas, and recycling of what you have on hand to make something you can use. Also, the articles about life in general always inspire me. Thanks so much for your terrific insight into “Farm Girls” at heart. Gentle thoughts! Karen

  50. Kathy Stephens says:

My husband and I are on a mission to simplify our lives and return to our roots. Deeply rooted in the country lifestyle, living off the land, and involving ourselves in community support I found MaryJane’s Farm to be a colorful textbook of encouraging ways to simplify life. We have found ourselves much more fulfilled and happy on this adventure.
Thank you for great information, presented in such a beautiful way. Blessings!
