UPDATE 6/28/2017:
A heartfelt thank you!!!!!! to everyone who signed up to be a Tabitha owner. We’d love to continue hearing about your many adventures! The crowning moment for us was when my daughter and her family passed another Tabitha owner two hours over the border in the neighboring state of Washington. As is so often the case, manufacturing and businesses change. T@bithas, as part of the T@b family, are still in good hands but we’re going to take a hiatus from the production of them while the re-branded company producing the well-know T@b teardrop gets up and running. If you are interested in buying a new or used Tabitha, please contact your local dealer to find out if they can track one down for you, https://nucamprv.com/dealer-locator/

Tabitha is finally ready and orders coming in …
(Thanks for your patience; we had a lot of manufacturing details to iron out.)
Here’s the brochure we made for RV dealers across the U.S. who are offering her for sale. (Readable text printed below each page.) Or you can read it online here: http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/Tabitha_Brochure.pdf. Scroll down on this post where you will find even more photos and a Q&A section. If you’ve asked us a question, you’ll find the answer further on.
With news giants like The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, the Today Show, and CNN finally giving glampers their due, it’s high time for an official designated glamper. And who else to design it but the woman (moi) who pioneered the concept of glamour+camping?
Here at last is your dream machine! “But why a shiny NEW one?” you ask. Over the years, I’ve received letters like this: “How do I get started? I’m so afraid of buying something old for fear I won’t be able to complete it or it will be such a lemon it will never see the road. I’ve never refinished anything. But I LOVE your idea and I love camping.”
Well, YOU’RE the reason I created the care-free, ready-to-roll, lightweight, easy-to-manage-but-fully-loaded T@bitha. All you have to do is dust off your prom dress, pack up your mule (she’s so dainty that small cars like a Subaru Outback can tow her), load up on chocolate, gather up your glamping gal friends, and pick out a NAME. What adventurous, out-of-the-box gal doesn’t love an old-fashioned double name? Or a triple name … Rosie Royce T@bitha anyone? How about Annie Mae T@bitha or Rebekka Jean T@bitha or Lacy Lou T@bitha or just plain old Tabby T@bitha? I named mine Honey Bee T@bitha.
She could be yours!
Fully loaded but lightweight (easily towed by most vehicles), the T@bitha gives you some serious bragging rights: non-toxic Marmoleum flooring, neutral tones (blank canvas for the decorator in you), antiqued glazed birch-wood cabinetry, stainless-steel counters, indoor/outdoor stainless-steel table with U-shaped couch seating that converts into a 70″ x 72″ mattress, toilet/shower, stabilizer jacks, 3-way fridge, LED TV/entertainment center, AC/heat, 2-burner gas stove, electric brakes, and so much more! Also available: attachable awning or tent, all-weather UV cover, and contrasting skin/trim colors.
Oh, there’s one more thing this Idaho Jane forgot to tell you. I intentionally gave T@bitha an interior design that is feminine but neutral because I also know how unique your design ideas are. T@bitha is almost a blank slate (actually, her floor and upholstery are the color of slate) so that you can decorate her to your heart’s content.

Tabitha Q&A
Question: The brochure says that the T@bitha has just a 9″ LED TV, but the picture of the T@bitha shows a 19″ TV. Is it just a mistake in the brochure?
Answer: Yes that was a mistake in the brochure; the TV is a 19” LED. It’s fixed now; sorry about that!
Question: Is there a window in the shower/toilet that requires a curtain?
Answer: Yes there is a window in the shower/toilet. In the photos provided, we’ve taken a window valance (from our MaryJane’s Home bedding collection) and customized it to fit that size window. We like to call that “farmgirl style!” We found some inexpensive adjustable curtain rods and attached them to the wall with Velcro so that the curtain can be installed when needed and then easily taken down and stored for transit. If this doesn’t suit your fancy, you can use the in-window blind that comes with the Tabitha , called a Peek-a-boo Shutter, that sticks to the window and can be swiveled to open or shut, here is a YouTube video from a customer with a sailboat that has installed them in the sail boat’s cabin: (obviously yours would be round, but the concept and function are the same.)
Question: The window in the door looked tinted. Is Tabitha’s door window tinted?
Answer: Yes, the window in the door is tinted.
Question: Is it possible to see a photo of the flooring?
Answer: Here is a link to a picture swatch of the Marmoleum flooring color. And here is a link giving more information on non-toxic Marmoleum.
Question: What is the floor plan of the Tabitha?
Answer: It’s an “S” floor plan. You can find it here.
Question: It doesn’t appear there’s a dealer in Arizona where I can buy a Tabitha. Can I buy it direct from the manufacturer?
Answer: Tabitha is American made in Sugar Creek, Ohio. Our guy Joe who makes them says that you must buy Tabitha from a dealer. Even if he attends an RV show he makes sure he’s with a dealer who can sell the Tabitha should someone want to buy it on the spot. Here’s a dealer in Arizona who can sell you a Tabitha:
Tom’s Camperland http://www.tomscamperland.com/ East Valley- 480-894-1267; West Valley- 623-977-2888; tomscamperland2@aol.com Phoenix- 602-258-3663; tomscamperland@aol.com
Question: Do you have more photos besides those in the pretty brochure?
Answer: Yes, here are a few more:
I must have one. Thank you Mary Jane. I am going to sell my VW bus to get one!!!!!!
Sounds like a good trade! Thanks Calesa!
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! I love the eco friendly design and construction, all the comfort necessities, and the fact that it is made in the USA. This is remarkable and I bet it will be a big seller. Your brochure looks great and gives the first glance reader an idea behind the dream of glamping. Do you think Santa delivers Subaru’s under Christmas trees?
There isn’t anything Santa can’t do, right? It’s all the stuff of imagination.
Hmmm, I don’t know that I could possibly sell my VW bus, but surely I can find a way to acquire one without that drastic step. I’ll bet I could pull the Tabitha with my Thunderbird! My husband likes the bathroom- I have a 15 ft travel trailer with most of the options, but no privy, so we are seriously eyeing the Tabitha.
Is there anything you can’t do? I keep up! Wow, congratulations on this new venture. Looking forward to learning more.
*Can’t…. can’t keep up!
Already own a T@B that looks just like this one. Bought it in 2008 here in British Columbia. I love my T@B – named “Summer Feelin'” – and my little doggie and I go camping in it many times throughout the year. The T@B is so easy to tow, so easy to maneuver and push into position, so comfortable……I just love it.
Sweet! How long is this trailer?
Good question!
15’2″ (tip to tail)
89″ tall
76″ Wide
1670 lbs
Ooh, I am in love! She is beautiful! The memories I could make with a wonderful little trailer like her sitting in the woods surrounded by beauty and enjoying all the comforts of a perfect little trailer. Sounds perfect to me.
Please Santa!
Stunning!!! I will find a way… Wonder~full job Mary Jane!
The photos are too small to read. Are there any pics anywhere of the inside or a brochure/pics somewhere on the net?
Here’s a link Lisa:
http://www.raisingjane.org/Tabitha.pdf
I’m interested! I just discovered these groups of women campers and its speaking to me. I need to sell my too-large-for-me home and downsize. I’ve been dragging my feet because I’ve lived here over 30 years and know my neighbors well. Upon discovering these camping groups, I’m actually excited to dump this big house and all of the responsibilities that come with it for a small place that I can lock up and leave to go camping with newly made friends. I’ve spent the afternoon looking at used trailers on line and didn’t get excited until I saw this. A shower! That’s a necessity for me. I could spend weeks in a small environment alone, well with my little dog, but not without my showers. I’m bookmarking your site.
OMG I just love it. First saw it in your magazine. Fell in love with your mag. and immediately sent a friend a subscription. Like me she sat and read cover to cover and fell in love. We’re retired and living on a budget but just found some vintage trailers that have mega possibilities. If the money fairy ever comes my way the Honey Bee will be for me.
Don’t change a thing it’s everything and more.
Diana VB
I just saw Tabitha in your magazine and fell in love. It has everything I need for a getaway without stuff I don’t want. I have a glamper theme in my head, just found the right camper to make it real. The price is reasonable too. Just need to find that money fairy.
This is absolutely gorgeous! Just retired and ready to travel. This is what my part time job is going to pay for. WOW!!
I would REALLY like to have this. I’m the camper in the family – my DH is not. I LOVE camping! Looks like I’m going to have to go out and get a job so I can get this for myself.
I don’t get it. Does this exist? I don’t see it on the Little Guy site. Or mentioned anywhere but here for that matter. ???
Hi Lisa,
Go to Joe’s dealer locator:
http://tab-rv.com/dealers/
Have you checked in with your local RV T@B dealer?
Joe (T@B company owner) says that I’m the first one to order a T@bitha! I’m so excited, and making all kinds of plans! She should be ready mid April…can’t wait to pick her up.
Congratulations Cheryl!!!! You will love Tabitha. She’s a cinch to tow (and back up). Did you get the attached tent? Buying a new trailer means you get only the glamorous part of glamping and none of the heartbreaking disappointment I’ve seen so many times when women bring home a lemon. Enjoy!!!!!!
We’ll have the awning, but not the tent. And we’ll be passing through Coeur D’Alene in June, so maybe we can show her off?? I’m looking forward to visiting your store!
Stay in touch as June approaches and we’ll try to dash up to CDA to meet you in our store. Glamp on!
We just picked up our beautiful T@bitha 2 days ago 🙂
We’ll be in CDA on the 19th, just passing through, but hope to stop at your store. If you’d like to see (what I think is) T@bitha #2, email me, and I’ll let you know what time we expect to be there!
Oh my, this is going to be one of those tricky logistical feats. I’ll be passing through CDA on the 19th (in the afternoon) with truck/camper and stock trailer (delivering livestock to Montana). Let’s see if we can pull off a rendezvous on the outskirts of town (wouldn’t want to pull my set-up into downtown CDA!!!!). For sure, the girls at my store will want to meet you and oh and ah. There’s parking near our store for your petite set-up–that’s the beauty of a Tabitha.
Cheryl – did you order T@bitha directly from the factory or from a dealer? I’ve tried to find out if I can order from the factory. Also, would you be willing to share inside pictures when you get it? I can’t find the floor plan anywhere and wondered if it was like the “S” model floor plan.
Hi Michele,
I’m pretty sure you can order from the manufacturer. I will get you that information. And I will provide a floor plan shortly. Yes, Tabitha is modeled after the “S” model. Thanks!
Thanks MaryJane! I did some digging and found one dealer in AZ who has 2015 models (but I understand I’d have to order the T@Bitha). Hope to get up to the dealer in a few weeks to at least look the T@Bs to get a good sense of them. Looking forward to more info on the T@Bitha!
I’ll be in touch soon! Hopefully Joe will get back to us later today. I’ve been up throughout the night on calf watch. New baby born just after midnight. All is well. I’m trying to figure out how I can take my cow glamping so I can milk her along the way:)
Hi Michele,
We’ve updated this post. Check it out the new Q&A portion where we’ve answered your questions. Thanks!
Cheryl – Please post pics or do you have a Facebook where they might be?
I’d really like to see ‘real’ pics of this. Thanks!
Hi Lisa,
We’ve updated this post and added more photos. Check it out!
Lisa- we haven’t received it yet…expected arrival date is the second week in May. It’s the S floor plan, and Mary Jane added some more interior pictures of her T@bitha (scroll up). I’ll post again when we get it!
Lisa- Now that T@bitha is finally here, I’d be happy to share some pictures, but I can’t figure out how to post here. I’m not sure what the best way is to get in touch?
Cheryl, if you want to email me your pics, I can get them loaded this morning once my crew is in, maryjane@maryjanesfarm.org. Exciting!!!!!
I want one!! It’s just me now. My time…
Meant to be! It has your name written all over it:)
Just came across the Tabitha and wrote to the company about ordering one (didn’t see one listed at the AZ dealer). Your interior designs are wonderful – hope to be able to do some things to make mine “me”! Question – where did you get the exterior painted with the name done? And do you know if one could do a little painting of the cabinets (if I wanted to add some color)? Love, Love, Love it! Thanks.
I will get back to you with answers to your questions! Thanks for writing. We love Tabitha too:)
Thanks for the update with Q&A. I suspect there will be many interested in getting one. I contacted the dealer and plan on going up to Phoenix in a few weeks to see the T@Bs (although they won’t have the T@Bitha as I know they’re special order) – but at least I’ll get to see some in person. Very excited about this. The only thing I wish the factory would do is install more “organizing items” in what I see is unused space on the walls (like in the bathroom) – like little shelves, etc. But I think there are T@B owners that have done some modifications themselves and I’ll be sure to research what can be added after the fact. Appreciate your photos!
You are most welcome Michele!

I lost my husband two months ago and am trying to sell our 32′ 5th wheel. When I get it sold I will definitely look to buy one of these as I still love to travel.
What a journey you’ve been on already. We’re so very sorry to hear of your loss.
Where would I get a T@bitha in Georgia? I live in North Georgia. Thanks, love the trailer.
Good morning Greta,
I will find out first thing Monday morning and get back to you!
Hi Greta,
Here is the dealer listed in Georgia on the T@b website:

I love the styling of this. I am thinking of ordering the clamshell T@B with the outside kitchen and bath. I wish the “T@Bitha was offered in that model. Is it possible to have one made using your designs in that floor plan?
We can check for you.
That would be great, thanks
Did you ever get an answer ~ re: T@bitha available in a CS ? We would prefer a clamshell also, I can’t seem to find an answer to this question.
We asked twice but never received an answer. I think that means they don’t feel like they can customize a trailer for one person and make it cost effective for you or them. I’m sorry. We had our Tabitha out recently. We sure do love it as is.
Thanks for the quick response. Only trying to please ME & HUBBY! She is a Beauty!
I really am sorry I couldn’t help you out. If it’s a HIS & HER situation and you’re thinking you need a smaller one to pull, I PROMISE you’ll love Tabitha for that purpose. An inside kitchen and bathroom are awesome.
We want to purchase a T@B this fall. I fell in love with the T@bitha (MY blank canvas), however 2015 has NO sink in the wet bath (as a women this makes NO SENSE to me!). Hubby likes the claimshell, so a clamshell in the T@bitha version would be a GREAT compromise ~ great interior, wet bath WITH sink, more interior storage, HIS outdoor kitchen with way more storage there too). But it is ok, we will figutpre it out! Thanks again
Guess what!? Our manufacturing partner just called after seeing all this and said he’d do it–give you what you want. All you have to do is go to your dealer and tell him that per MaryJane and the manufacturer (the dealer will know who that is), what you want CAN be special ordered. I’m here to help and facilitate! Let’s go for it.
Deborah-
Just FYI- Our new T@bitha did NOT come with a sink in the wetbath.
You don’t need privacy to wash your hands, and the sink is right outside of the wetbath area…just wash up there! And that way you can make sure that everyone washes their hands! 😉
The sink in the wetbath makes the space very crowded and hard to manage a shower or anything else.
We are pretty big fans of the vanity sink, especially when kids are around using the potty and haven’t felt like it makes the shower any less awesome. Glad to hear you’re okay without it however!
Because we ordered ‘The T@bitha’, and didn’t make any custom requests, we were expecting a sink in the shower. When it was delivered, and it didn’t have the shower-sink (as we expected), I was kind of glad to have the extra room. The point I’m trying to make is that if you want that sink in the shower, you better ask for it specifically!
Good grief. I have some difficult phone calls to make this morning. Grateful, so very grateful, for your lemonade attitude, but that is unacceptable …
Great News!!! We are VERY excited about this!
I will look into this further with my Dealer (hmmmm….perhaps with ‘custom’ it may be too expense to justify ?)! Thanks EVERYONE for your assistance! We will be ‘hitting the road’ next spring with our new T@B (whichever one we purchase) to create some great memories with our many travel adventures!
I am heading to the Hershey RV show this weekend where I First saw the T@B. I will see if they have any more info!
The RV dealers can be pretty clueless about what’s possible. You should also contact the T@b company directly. Go to http://www.tab-rv.com and click on ‘contact us’.
I have already e-mailed them with this question…..no response as of yet. As far as my Dealer goes he is awesome, I just haven’t contacted him yet with this particular question. Thanks!
That would be great, as I’m in Canada. Thanks so much!
Deborah-
I think they will customize your order in just about whatever way you want. Decide what it is you like about T@bitha…the fabric? the painted cupboards? the marmoleum flooring? Whatever it is you want, I think they’d put it in the CS model. We went to the T@b rally in Ohio last month and had a tour of the factory.
Good to know! Thanks

I would like to know where I might find a T@abitha in Canada. I can’t seem to find any dealers who sell these trailers.
Hi Tamalee,
Here’s a list of Canadian dealers. http://tab-rv.com/dealers/
If none of these are within driving distance, let us know. I am sure we can track one down for you! 🙂
Pingback: Campground Culture | Raising Jane Journal
For 2015 there have been factory changes, one of them being ………….. the sink is NOT available in the S model (which the T@bitha is based on). However, the CLAMSHELL still has the wet bath SINK for 2015. This is why I was asking Mary Jane about the CS.
Mary Jane has clarified this for me now (and once again I thank her)….. so we will discuss with our Dealer about ordering a CS S in a T@bitha or we will be purchasing a 2014 S (so we have the sink), or a 2015 CS S in the T@B ~ however I LOVE the T@bitha interior. Will have to make our decision now that we have the facts. Believe me, I’m doing my research!
An involved customer, not just a consumer. Love it!!!!! Many thanks!
I was sooooooooo excited about Tabitha!!! Until I saw her weight! BUMMER! We have a new Honda Civic and are really stuck with under 1000# trailers!!! Any chance of ordering a Tabitha Lite??!! hahaha
…one quicky question…what is the headroom inside (how tall INSIDE)? She looks like you could stand up!
It is 69″ in the galley area near the sink and counter. Any other questions, don’t hesitate to ask!
I love it and my dad and stepmom have loved theirs. I want to travel with my family but couldn’t find one with room for 4. Do you make one that has the big bed and bunks? We want to keep it light but all fit inside? Thanks!
One thing i would like to ask,on the underside of the trailer is it undercoated,i ask this because i live in a wet area, and in the past i have had to crawl under my old trailers and spray undercoating on.
Yes, it does come with undercoating.
I would like to have my tabitha by 12/1/2015–when should I order?
I will find out for you!
ASAP.
They need six weeks lead time. So perhaps next fall sometime???
We ordered ours last February and it wasn’t delivered until mid-June. I would leave at least 6 months if you absolutely need it by Dec. 2015. They will be moving to a new manufacturing facility soon, and I would expect some hiccups before things get all ironed out.
Thanks Cheryl!
Have been a glamper at heart, but a worthy lightweight vintage to tow with my Outback just wasn’t to be found unless I went traditional teardrop. When I discovered the T@B trailers I started saving and just bought my T@bitha today! So very excited to get back out there glamping! Will be loving it every mile cross country from WI to Seattle to see my daughter who first introduced me to Mary Jane’s Farm and the Glamping books! Thanks for starting the movement!
Congratulations!!! Stay in touch.
Hi Mary Jane
I am looking into getting mine in a few months and wanted to know where can I get the letters to name my ride.
Hi Lucy, I will locate a source and let you know. What state are you in so I can find one close to you.
Just saw the article in April/May Mary Janes Farm. Have been reading the posts. Any dealers in Alaska? Are they built well enough for off roading? Love the idea of being able to stand up inside and the shower. I wouldn’t want a sink in the shower either. Glad that is an option.
I totally want one! Where can I get one in Western NC?

i think you have me mixed up with someone from North Carolina. I live in Alaska. No problem though.
Hello!
Wisconsin winter is finally over and I’m so ready to pick up the T@bitha I purchased last fall that the dealer has been storing for me. I’m checking out my cargo space for glamping with friends or my trusty Labradoodle and thinking that my stand alone canopy is not going to fit. Have you used or had any experience with the T@b visor/canopy and if so, do you recommend it as opposed to the easy up canopy? Also, has anyone customized the stand alone table to make it weather proof? I’m thinking I would prefer it was outside most of the time to give more room in the camper and that’s where I would eat anyway. I’m considering a marine paint for the bottom at least but would love an expert retro-fitter’s advice. Can’t wait to get started! I have been searching, stashing, and storing all my glamping gear to doll it up and get out there! Thanks!
We have the T@b canopy and it works great. It’s easy to put up and take down and provides protection against rain and/or sun. I definitely recommend it.
The visor seems to small to actually do anything, and it’s a problem if there’s any wind- but it is very cute!
Lots of people withe the clamshell T@b use an Easy Up tent over the kitchen area, so that should work too.
Thanks, Cheryl!
Appreciate the feedback and suggestion. Happy Camping!

If you go here you can find a dealer:

Then, when you call the dealer nearest you they will tell you their price.
Fingers crossed you buy one. You’ll love it!
Close to PERFECT because everything’s inside (cook, privy)!! LOVE the neutral colors and bead board. Need a camper for dog shows and trial…. that my Volvo can tow.
But I need to know what the tongue weight is…. Can you provide that for me?
thanks!
The tongue weight is : 165 lbs (weight of trailer pressing down on hitch, usually 10-15% of total trailer weight).
Curb weight is : 1760 lbs (actual weight of trailer). Let us know if there is any other way in which we can be of help.
I can’t find an actual Tabitha….but I think I can go see a T@B S…. Are most people ordering them through a nearby dealer based on the S version? tia
Tell your dealer you want a T@bitha not a T@b and they will be able to bring one in for you once you pick out your colors.
