Summer Day in the Neighborhood, Day Two

Last January I shared photos taken in my neighborhood. Here are the same scenes again, taken a couple of weeks ago.

Unfortunately, progress came to our neck of the woods. Scroll down for our BIG change.

The “No Traffic Signs” sign has been upgraded to no-traffic-sign. In other words, somewhere beyond my son’s house, halfway to Genesee, one must assume there is now a …

Round ’em Up!

Is that a wagon train in the distance?

(On our recent glamp romp to SD, we’d been driving for an hour or so and hadn’t seen any sign of man, beast, or habitat.)

Good golly miss molly … decidedly not. And not a soul in sight, or on site, for that matter. We saw this, um, ghost town in the middle of nowhere. Can’t recall which state we were in, but clearly the state this area was in, wasn’t too good!

Take that!

Thanks for stopping by.

Y-O-U just made my day. And I happen to know you look absolutely gorgeous right now.

Now, tell me the truth, how did you react to my compliment?

I’m hoping you felt a little flower of joy bloom inside your chest.

I’d love it if you thought, “She’s right, I DO look great today.”

Glampers on the Loose

Last week, I shared two decked-out trailers that the ladies of Glampers on the Loose revamped and stayed in during our trip to South Dakota. How adorable was Shery’s “Cabin in a Can” and Jennie’s “Little Black Dress”? This week, we’re sharing “Primitive,” the “Holy Roller,” and “The Bunkhouse.”

Here’s Michele’s dreamboat, “Primitive.”

MBA Jane: Entrepreneurial Spirit

Wondering who I am? I’m Merit Badge Awardee Jane (MBA Jane for short). In my former life

Well, the first thing I had to do to earn my Entrepreneurial Spirit Badge was figure out how to spell the dang thing. I like to write down my adventures in badges, you know, and I’ve been trying to better myself by not abusing spell check. (I like to think of spell check as an over-worked, under-paid serf, residing in my laptop). So, anyway, about 10 years later, I got the spelling of entrepreneurial right. And I’ll never forget it.

On to the actual badge. (Would a badge about starting a gardening business be a entremanure badge?)

Summer Day in the Neighborhood-Day One

Last January I shared photos taken in my neighborhood. Here are the same scenes again taken a couple of weeks ago.

Stay tuned for Day Two of it’s-a-beautiful-day-in-the-neighborhood.

The Color of Gold

We watched the farmer next to our house harvest his wheat a couple of days ago. Mia waved and yelled, “Thank you, farmer!” as he drove by in his combine.
