Hello! I’m a big fan and love my 1973 Airstream more and more each time I open your magazine! My mom bought me your glamping book for Christmas and I just love it too! Keep it up, and thanks for the inspiration!

Here is my “glamping” photo, which is from the “summer home” that I created in my very own backyard. My tent, which was set up last year from May-October, proved to be my own little girl getaway, which I truly enjoyed. I plan on expanding on the idea this year and utilizing the antique clawfoot tub, which I purchased for just $50, as an outdoor spa too!Thank you for all of the wonderful ideas and inspirations—and the chance to win that fabulous glamping photo calendar!
Hugs,
Laurie

Social Media Manners
Today, February 9, is National Stop Bullying Day. Cyberbullying wasn’t even a word before the invention of social media. In fact, my spell check says it’s NOT a word. But with the onset of social networking, we bring along all aspects of human interactions, for better or for worse.
Of course, no one wants a child to feel bullied or experience the kind of pain that goes along with being bullied. Who wants to hear a child say something hurtful to another child? But what about adult pain?

“Tina Frey’s book, “Blogging for Bliss” (which I got at the library,) was very entertaining and informative. I had already started a blog using WordPress back in November 2012 and this book helped me learn how to use it better.
The topic I chose was gardening, which is an extension of my passion for helping people to find optimal health. It to me is the next step that people should be taking to insure that what they are eating is the highest quality available.
Growing your own food is of paramount importance when you look at everything that is being done to our food supply. It is scary to me and I am doing what I can to be as self-sufficient as possible and that’s what I am blogging about now.
Are You My Mama?
Piper and Patch were a frolickin’.
Along the road so sweet.
When they thought they heard a cry, a baaa!
Was it their mother, the long lost sheep?
“Are you my mama?” Patch asked.
Maizy the cow was all a-bawl.
And with a little spit, she gave ’em a lick
“A new auntie” they cried, “so tall!”
“Are you my mama?” Piper asked.
“I’ll peep and peep all day!”
And with a “cheep” and a monstrous leap.
The chicken flew away.
“Now this is hopeful!” they bellowed.
As Tulip said “Hello.”
She’s big and white … but not quite right.
One bark and off they go.
But who’s this walking toward us?
“Baa, baa,” they cried!
We’ve been looking for you all day, ma ma!
And with that, they let out a sheepish sigh.
