Check out this tote that Pippa, of Pippa’s Patch, made out of my glamping fabric.
Just fab, darlin’!
How was your holiday? We had a spectacular time communing with friends and family. Coconut macaroons = devoured. Now that we are all back to work—it’s time to pick the winner of the apron giveaway! Thanks to all who entered and became new fans of the International Glamping Weekend FB page.
The glamping apron, above, was made by our very own Project F.A.R.M. (First-class American Rural Made) Elaine Forster of “Fit to be Tied Aprons.” The lady who wins this is a lucky duck.
And the winner of the eye-catching cooking companion is ...
S Rachel H Perry
She said:
“For sure “Liked” it … me and my gals have our Glamping Weeks planned for the summer in the hills of Tennessee. Can’t wait! I wear my aprons daily especially when packing up for camping and setting up when I get there.”
Thanks to all who entered. And Rachel, keep your eyes on your inbox for an incoming email shortly.
Who doesn’t need an umbrella fringed with red roses for the “outside” chance that nature might call? (She always does.) Straight from the pages of my Glamping with MaryJane book, we have you “covered” for a mere $22. (This was purchased from Victorian Trading Company for $34.95. Still like new!)
All proceeds (minus shipping and packing) will benefit www.firstbook.org, a non-profit that provides new books to children from low-income families throughout the U.S. and Canada.
The first person to call the farm and talk with Brian, 208-882-6819, and pony up a credit card, becomes the new owner of a little bit of herstory.
Shipping will be either USPS or UPS, our choice. No returns.
Our dear friends at Mountain Rose Herbs caught wind about my new book, Glamping with MaryJane, and my appearance on the Hallmark channel’s new show, Home & Family, this week—so we paired up for a fabulous giveaway! Below is everything you need to be a pampered glamper.
What you get:
4oz Oregon Chai Tea
4oz Firefly Chai Tea
Porcelain Tea Pot, 4oz Happy Tummy Tea, 4oz Evening Repose Tea
My daughter, Meg, and I will be signing books on Saturday, October 6, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at
Costco, located at 301 5th Street, Clarkston, Washington.
We would love to meet you!
Nudge: we bring lots of fun prizes. And chocolate.
You’ve got mail, said hubby as he delivered a box of what the fabric industry calls “strike-offs.” It’s the first time I’ve seen my fabric on anything but paper. Strike-offs are irregular bits of printed fabric the mill sends for a color check.
This moment can’t go to waste, I thought! I’m thinking these scraps deserve to be made into something. I know what this occasion calls for—a new dish drainer quilt for my teardrop trailer (instructions in my Glamping with MaryJane book).
I’ll be showcasing my new fabric line in Houston at the end of October at the Quilt Show (we’ll have an actual teardrop in the Moda booth; how fun is that?). My fabric will begin showing up in quilt stores across the country in early March. Next on my list? Getting my hands on an actual bolt of fabric. Hopefully, getting this box of scraps will help me remain patient. Oops, I feel an entire trailer remodel coming on in the meantime. I think the brown and yellow rendition. Or maybe the pink and teal …
Here they are … the promised photos of the fantastic, amazing, gorgeous glampers we had the honor of “meeting” in person on our recent glamping trip to South Dakota! Fab-u-lous.
Here’s Shery Jesperson, our Ranch Farmgirl Blogger’s, glamper.
This is it, my glorious glampin’ darlin’s! Our last giveaway of my new book, Glamping with MaryJane.
We all know how things can go … umm … not-exactly-as-planned when you’re on the road. Flat tires, problematic potty situations, the wrong color nail polish. Stuff happens!
For instance … let’s say you’re on the road for 12 days (living large in your tricked-out Airstream) and your
