It’s about bloomin’ time!
It’s April and things are finally starting to feel like spring around here.
It’s like everything (and everyone) took a giant exhale and then relaxed.
Now it’s time for Mother Nature to get fancy. Flowers blooming, birds singing, little buds of green shooting up everywhere.
It’s nice.
There’s no better time than April to celebrate nature and all it gives us—naturally. And if you love gardening as much as I do, you’ll be happy to know that April is National Garden Month.
According to the National Gardening Association (NGA), studies have shown that gardening is good for us.
Okay, yeah! Of course it is.
We don’t need research and statistics to tell us that, do we girls?!
We already know the miraculous things that gardening gives. And I’m not talking veggies.
We already know that when we nurture nature, we nurture ourselves.
So, celebrate April, garden gals. Whether you have acres of crops, a few flowerbeds, or a colorful container on your fire escape, be grateful for your garden.
The NGA website has a list of 101 ways you can celebrate Garden Month—including detailed instructions on how to make your own plant-based dyes, how to organize a garden poetry circle, or a plant swap for friends and neighbors.
Check it all out at National Garden Month.
