Update: Jesse and his team have reached their goal! Thanks to everyone who donated! š Look for the new farming app,Ā Agrisaurus, coming out soon.
Wow! Front yard garden? This is called Farmscape. IĀ jumped for joy. You will, too, when you see what Jesse DuBois and his team have in the works at KickStarter. (KickStarter is a website that acts as a funding platform for creative projects.) In 2010, DuBois began project building and maintaining intensive food gardens for Farmscape,Ā the largest urban farming venture in California. This venture soon inspired Agrisaurus. Which, by the way, is an awesome name.
Farmscape is defeating big food with small food …
And, yes, there is soon to be an app for that! The goal of Agrisaurus is to make gardening simple, successful, and fun with tools to help you design, plan, and manage your plot. Wondering when to plant or harvest? All you need to enter is your zip code! Genius.
Check out their short mission video below. They are still trying to get off the ground, but they are so close to their goal. As of the writing of this post, the project is at $6,514. This project will only be funded if at least $7,000 is pledged by Monday Oct 15, 1:44pm EDT. A dollar donation from just 486 people, and you can be part of the grassroots small farming movement. Support their mission by contributing to their Kickstarter campaign here.
This is amazing!!!!!!! I am getting this app right now and planning my plots. People are so ingenious and incredible! Thanks for posting this MaryJane!
Wow! I love this! I really like the wide, gravel paths that make the garden really accessible and easy to maintain. So pretty, and the apps are pure genius. Thanks for posting!
Absolutely fabulous – now this is what we should be doing instead of building silly chicken mansions. No, the chickens are not silly – I love my girls – the people who think of those things ARE.
