What a sweet print. The look of the ewe and the girl are full of peace and calm.
Nothing is sweeter than a newborn lamb ( except maybe a newborn Jersey calf like Rose Etta !) I wish I could raise sheep, Jacob’s Four Horned would be my choice. Did raise large shiny black Nubian goats and the kids were ever so sweet. No wonder we call our playful offspring kids.
Who was the artist on this one? It’s a beauty, full of “farmgirl romance”.
I’m not sure we know, but I’ll try to find out!
The artist is Johann Baptist Hofner
Thank you Janet!!!!
Yes, thank you, Janet!
I have a copy of this very picture beautifully framed and hanging on my wall . . .YAY!!!
Reminds me of growing up on our farm!

Is there anyone that knows where I can get one?
A baby lamb?
Any chance I can get a print of this?
I bought that same print for my daughters bedroom. The girl looks just like my daughter! Her name is Mary and she has the kindest spirit about her. She raises goats, names each one and loves them everyone dearly! This is my favorite print.
MJ, if you send Bonita a lamb, send me one, too!
I will, along with some nappies and onesies:), http://www.raisingjane.org/journal/31677#more-31677
My leftover onesies and nappies are on their way to Goodwill next trip. Maybe I should save them, but I think yours were cuter, anyway!
There comes a time …
