The winner of our Sweet Lena Iris giveaway is:

Gerri Leigh, who commented:
“I actually prefer not to get flowers for Valentine’s Day … unless they come in a pot with dirt and can be transplanted in the spring! I do have a soft spot for Iris though. They were my grandfather’s favorite and he was my favorite person until I had children.”

Congratulations, Gerri! Watch for an e-mail from the farm.

  1. Darlene McDowell says:

My favorite Valentine’s Day flower is the carnation. They last so much longer than a rose and they are beautiful! And they don’t break the pocketbook for my husband!

  2. Teresa says:

It’s a tie. Gerber Daisy or Hydrangeas

  3. Suzanne says:

For Valentine’s….roses and alstromeria, maybe a nit of babies breath, too.

  4. Shelli Jones says:

My favorite flower is, of course the rose.
I just love all types of roses, but tea roses are my favorite
type. My husband and I live in a patio
home, so I do not have much planting room, but I “squeeze-in”
a couple of them here and there.
If I were to receive one of these beautiful
Iris rhizomes I do have the perfect place for it,
right by the gate to the alleyway.

  5. Irises are my favorite flower, for sure. But lilacs are a close second.
