Buy props used in MaryJane’s books and magazine!
5% of profits will benefit www.firstbook.org, a non-profit that provides new books to children from low-income families throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Here’s how:
MaryJane will post a photo and a description of a prop and its cost along with a few details as to its condition here: https://shop.maryjanesfarm.org/MaryJanesCurations. It’s a playful way to be the new owner of a little bit of farm herstory.
Love this smocked dress… Did you make it?
No, Granmamma made it for my daughter, Meg.
While clearing Mother’s house after she passed away in ’10, I discovered that she had saved almost every piece of clothing I’d ever worn growing up. Just today I washed some of the little dresses like this and have been pondering what to do with them. I had about decided to save a few of the nicest and do sewing projects with the others. But seeing this photo, I wonder how I could repurpose any of them. Thoughts? Suggestions? Encouragement, ideas appreciated!
I will ponder. In the meantime, consider this: You just never know when photos of those dresses will come in handy for a book, or a magazine, or an online journal:) Maybe even a granddaughter or two or three!
