How can I raise the level of gratitude in my life? Let me count the ways.

Spring is supposed to arrive tomorrow but our trees look like the pictures. It’s fun to see the shape of the trees but I am longing for green. Guess we just have to wait.
So peaceful looking – and cold–wish I could tolerate the cold. My body just doesn’t like it.
Wow, what a snow drift!! It is going to be a long time before that thing melts.
So peaceful….
Ohh, this reminds me of Christmas greenery with the pine cone. Beautiful!
Oh, I love pinecones, this picture reminds me of the hearth and warmth of home and winter decorations in my home. I always hate putting them away for the turning seasons so each year I leave them out a little bit longer. I even have a cosy blanket with pine leaf and pine cones embroidered on it that I drape across my lap and snuggle up to with a warm cup of tea or cocoa and a really inspiring read–MaryJanesFarm mag.
I love this picture. It is so pretty, and makes me think of all the beauty that winter creates for us.
Is this the hoar frost? It looks like lace on the leaves.
It looks like God put spray snow on the leaves. He has such an imagination.
What a great photo of the maple leaf and the seed pods. Maples can be some of the most stunning fall colors of the season. We have the Southern Red Maple down here and I have a baby in my front yard. The only problem is that it turns orange/red about late February or March as the new growth pushes out. Some of the older maples in our community will change colors in December and January. They also have the most beautiful bright red seed pods in February before the new green leaves appear. It is absolutely gorgeous when you have a whole bunch of these maples together. They also prefer to grow along swampy and water edges down here.
I hate to rain on parades, but this looks like an invasive Norway Maple. These spread rapidly leading to decline of native species of maple. It has neither environmental or industrial use. It cant even be burned. Its a real problem in the Northeast and as a forestry major, I wish more folks, would take these out and plant native maples. Thank you.
Sometimes we look for fault when don’t need to. Beautiful picture
Beautiful!! We have sugar maples here in West Tennessee. They turn gold to re-orange. Wonder if the cooler climate in Idaho account for the brilliant color. down, all out flowers and plants get more brilliant in color if they survive the intense heat!!!
Happy Thanksgiving!
I THOROUGHLY ENJOYED THE LEAVES TURNING HERE IN LOUISIANA WE ARE NOT SO BLESSED — SO A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS !!!
Hehe, I changed back all the clocks in the house yesterday but forgot my bedside one. Guess who had an extra hour this morning??? Actually, it was awesome and I am so glad it happened!!
Very Pretty!!
I love the reminders of Fall and time. It brings back the many memories of racking leaves and the running through them, to do it all again. The clock tells me that many times have passed and to still stop and remember to run through the leaves and slow down, read the books and enjoy.
lovely late season roses, what variety are they?
Those are beautiful roses. Are they still blooming?
I love the beautiful photos.
great quote for 4th of July !
Would love to get a copy of this for my classroom to inspire students every day.
