It looks like that much of the winter in Minnesota. A great picture and a lovely spot.

  5. Jeez , snow already there in Idaho? Pretty but I can wait a bit I think for snow.

If you’ve stopped by my blog today to enter the Giveaways mentioned in the Dec/Jan 2016 issue of my magazine, MaryJanesFarm, I don’t have them up yet. I’m still finishing up the winners from the last issue, but by late Monday afternoon (tomorrow), I should have them up and running. See you tomorrow!!!

  1. Winnie Nielsen says:

Is that your new Shasta? Wherever this photo is located, it feels like the perfect camping spot for a weekend Fall getaway. I am imagining sitting outside in a chair with some hot coffee after a brisk morning walk.

    • MaryJane says:

That IS my new old 1963 Shasta that is about to go into hibernation in my barn. Yes, fall camping is the best. Always reminds me of our deer hunting campouts from when I was a child.

  2. Bonnie ellis says:

What a cool camper. We loved camping in the early fall. The best time for a campfire.

  3. terry steinmetz says:

Absolutely love your glamper! Mine is hidden away in a corner of our property too! Love it our there!

  4. Charlene Hansen says:

Love the camper. I have an vintage coral color one parked under an oak tree towards the back of our 10 acres. Little oasis for me.

  1. Winnie Nielsen says:

Every day features one beautiful fall scene after another. It makes me homesick for Virginia this time of year when the same sort of experiences are part of the landscape.

  2. Lisa A says:

    Beautiful!

  1. Winnie Nielsen says:

Do Sugar Maples grow out in Idaho? They are some of the most beautiful colors in Fall. Here in Florida, we can only grow Southern Red Maples, which are a cousin of the Sugar but more heat tolerant. When they turn in the Fall, they are a deep red/orange. This considerably smaller leaf species favors growing where it is wet and can be found along rivers, and in swampy areas (we have plenty of that sort of space!) . We planted one in our front yard and it is now finally taking off. Although still fully green, I have hopes for a brilliant display in late December or January when we usually get our best opportunity for color.

    • MaryJane says:

They do or I should, they can. I planted a few several years ago but they’ve hardly grown. Have patience, they say to me.

Are these the Aspens? The patch looks like what I saw for the first time in the northern parts of New Mexico. Gorgeous!

  2. Cindi says:

A beautiful scene that brings rest for the soul very early on a Sunday morning 🙂

  3. bonnie ellis says:

What a soothing scene. Harvest brings rest.

  1. Winnie Nielsen says:

Yep, it is happening. Fall is my favorite season. Absolute favorite!

  2. Winnie Nielsen says:

I forgot to mention in my note that we are leaving today for a week to explore the state of New Mexico. Neither of us have ever seen the Southwest so we are going to do a week of state and national parks and check it out. Trading Florida heat for desert heat. Where are the cool breezes?

  1. Winnie Nielsen says:

I love little song birds. They are so tiny and perfect in every way.

  2. Bonnie ellis says:

Is that a female goldfinch? They are so dainty and a lot less showy than the male.

  3. Maybe a warbler, they are all variations on a theme of yellow and black. Gold finches are my favorite small birds . did you know the PA dutch/ German name for them is distelfink, or thistle finch.

Beautiful close-up of this chicken and her beautiful feathers. Wow! Right now, I have that GEICO chicken ad music suddenly in my mind where she is on a solo trip out West. “I’m going my way….”
