Could I replace the nuts in this recipe for something else or leave them out all together? Reason being, allergies.

Got Milkshakes?
With so many cows running around the farm these days, we have plenty of milk for things like a weekly batch of Parmesan cheese, butter, and occasionally some ice cream. Nevertheless, we were more than happy to receive a special ice cream delivery from Susan at Halo Top Creamery. “Why, yes, of course, we’d be happy to taste-test ice cream made with a gamut of organic ingredients, cage-free eggs, and hormone-free dairy.” Hmmm, but we have all this milk of our own and … wait a minute, this sounds like a recipe for 4th of July MILKSHAKES!
It’s been a little warm around here and our crew is pretty awesome and we have an important holiday to celebrate this week and we’re swimming in fresh strawberries and milk …
Saralou was the first to take the taste test and … it’s good!! Like, really, really, really good.
Karina was wide-eyed with amazement. At only 80 calories for one 4 ounce serving of ice cream, it’s as healthy as it is delicious!
Happy 4th of July from all of us at MaryJanesFarm!
QUICK N’ EASY MILKSHAKES
1 cup Halo Top Ice Cream
1/4 cup organic milk plus things like chocolate chunks, fresh plucked strawberries, apricots …

Now that is an amazing set of statistics for 1 pint of pure delight! Those milkshakes just look so delicious!

Are these baby apples????? Oh, I love apple trees. They don’t grow here in Florida because of the heat. There is one yellow cooking apple that sort of does OK here but not the big juicy red eating apples=D!!

You & your mate keep a very tidy office Megan. And it looks as if America has a petite Jane Austen in the making? I love the natural light shining through the windows & what I can see of your lovely countryside view. Seems like the perfect spot for creative writing?

I love the desk made out of an old piano or organ. You remake reuse recycle the way I do but ive never came across the chance to do it to this level. Awesome. And they say us ‘old Vermonters” are resourceful

I love the flower photos from the farm nestled in vintage equipment. There is something about a bunch of colors all placed together against an unlikely vessel that makes for a blue ribbon combo! so pretty!
-
Love the dandelions! I have beautiful sage flowers going into my daisy mixed-bouquet today. “Native” flowers!
-
very lovely! My favorite is lilac, but I love all flowers, no matter how small or how lowly.

Thanks, NannyJane!
The salad greens are going crazy in the greenhouse at the farm right now, so Mom and I make big salads every day for lunch. I’m known for my love of salads. Whenever I go out to eat in a restaurant, the waiters always look at my mom for confirmation that yes, indeed, the salad I just ordered is actually the only thing I’d like for dinner. I inherited my passion for salads from NannyJane and Mom!

Good for YOU StellaJane!! Salads are a great way to stay healthy too!
Mmmmmm, fresh made butter from your girls?? It looks so beautiful all wrapped in papers! I bet it is very creamy and delicious on a hot scone!
Ah, butter!
Oh, memories of Gramma’s house in the 70s…she churned every couple of days and stored the butter in the freezer. Grew up eating that butter on buckwheat pancakes with dark honey. Yum. I have the wooden bowl, paddle, and mold she used. Hope to use them myself some day…
