Great article. And something that I’ve been thinking on: how we’ve come so far tech-wise but yet we’ve lost so much else. I love to read the writings of our Founding Fathers and often I’m amazed at how much thinking, musing, writing, creating they’ve accomplished in comparison with the Modern Us. They wrote longhand with quills and inkpots and their output of thought and ideas is so much greater than ours. I believe it’s due to the fact that we have so much that distracts us and takes us away from getting deeper into our thinking and becoming more expressive and creative with our writing. We have authors who shine but they are becoming a minority. The majority of us want to be entertained with tv, internet, ipods, and so on. I got a lot from that article and I’ll be looking for that quiet place even if it means leaving my computer and cell phone alone for awhile. I know that I have so much to say, to create, to share with others but I get so distracted. Thanks for sharing that article. Marge
