I had a great time yesterday at the state park of the Murrell House. It lives to tell the story of an Englishman who marries a Cherokee in the 1840s and their life and troubles through the Civil War. My friend is a volunteer docent here for events . She brings her spinning wheel and yarn and demonstrates dying the wool and then spinning it into skeins of yarn. Everyone gets to dress in period clothing . I was fascinated with the whole place. It is a true local treasure thatustherwal deal!!

MaryJane says: TGIF here. I do believe that’s a photo Cydnie took of the handle on the screen door on our sewing cottage. You’ll be gripping that again some day:) Or it might be the handle on our little store that I hope to have some time to work in today. Both book and mag were sent this week! No more deskgirl duties for me for a few days. Farmgirl only!!!!!
